MCAA Conferences represent the regional and national landscape of tournament competition. Local, regional, coastal, & bi-coastal competition are classified as “qualifying tournaments.” For example, The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) is headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina & it benefits HBCUs. The CIAA represents institutions from Pennsylvania to South Carolina. The “MCIAA Tournament” shall take place throughout the “Boom Bap East & Dirty Southeast” and portion of proceed shall benefit HBCUs.
The MCAA National Championship is formatted like the NCAA National Championship College Basketball Tournament. The aim is to field NEBA League affiliate teams for each of the six (6) Conferences for a 64-Team Tournament. Also, MCAA accepts international teams to compete in the National Championship, “bracketology.” The competition formats are set forth as, among other things, “1-on-1s, 3-on-3s, & 5-on-5s” like NEBA League formats battles with Semi Pro League Rules.
